About Nicholas

Nicholas is an associate practicing in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group. His practice covers a broad range of civil and commercial matters, including contract law, employment law, shareholder disputes, real property litigation, construction law, professional/solicitor negligence and regulatory law.

Born and raised in the West Coast (Burnaby, British Columbia), Nicholas traveled some distance. Prior to law school, in his first year pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Economics at Queens University, Nicholas flew across the pond to Queens’ University’s international campus – Bader International Study Centre | Herstmonceux Castle before returning to Canada.

Nicholas graduated cum laude from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law’s English Common Law Program on the Dean’s Honor List. There, he competed in almost 10 moots including the Davies’ Annual Corporate/Securities Moot and the Adam F. Fanaki Competition Law Moot where he placed Runner-Up Best Factum. He also volunteered with various organizations like the Law School Show (as a Podcast Host) and the Pro Bono Students Canada (Ottawa Chapter) where he was awarded the Chief Justice Richard Wagner Award for Outstanding Leadership (2024).

Prior to joining the firm, Nicholas summered and articled at a full-service Bay Street firm where he gained experience in various forms of litigation. He is knowledgeable and experienced in breach of/interpretation of commercial contracts (loans, leases, agreements of purchase and sale, employment contracts, supply/service contracts), debt collection, and professional negligence. Nicholas has represented clients at the Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Justice, and Ontario Small Claims Court.

In his spare time, Nicholas can be found out on a run or a hike, going on food crawls with dining groups, experimenting in the kitchen and pulling his friends together for some Dungeons & Dragons.
