Natasha Razack is the head of the family law division at Himelfarb Proszanski. Ms. Razack owned and operated her own practice in East York prior to joining Himelfarb Proszanski. She grew a successful practice being accessible to her clients and listening to their needs. Ms. Razack’s personalized, high-quality legal services are attributes she brings to the firm’s family law division.

Ms. Razack ensures her clients are involved in managing their family law matters by educating them about the process and how the law applies to their unique circumstances. In this way, clients feel confident and comfortable in making decisions and choices that best suit their families’ needs.

Ms. Razack is a proponent of negotiating reasonable out of court settlements to minimize conflict between parties and reduce legal costs. Ms. Razack prioritizes the needs of children in her practice by encouraging her clients, sometimes with the assistance of highly qualified mediators and parent coordinators, to build cooperative and functional parenting relationships where possible. In cases where complex financial disputes arise, Ms. Razack takes steps to work towards settlements that reduce tax liabilities and allows the parties access to funds needed to meet their obligations.

Although out of court resolution of family law cases work for several families, Ms. Razack recognizes that in some situations, proceeding through court remains the only viable option to effectively achieve optimal results for her clients. Confident and skilled in the courtroom, Ms. Razack has appeared throughout Ontario at all levels of court, including the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court of the Superior Court of Justice and Ontario Court of Appeal. Her litigation experience includes speaking to motions (including ex parte motions, motions to change, summary judgment motions), conducting inter-jurisdictional child support hearings and complex trials.
