Spencer Koch is an associate practicing in the corporate commercial and real estate law groups at Himelfarb Proszanski LLP. As a member of the corporate commercial practice group, Spencer regularly acts on a broad range matters involving the purchase and sale of businesses in a multitude of sectors and industries. He has experience with the preparation and review of documents relating to a variety of business transactions including acquisitions, mergers, and corporate restructuring and reorganization. Spencer also has experience preparing asset and share purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, joint venture agreements, and security agreements.

As a member of the Real Estate practice group, Spencer acts on a wide range of matters including real estate purchase and sale transactions and mortgage refinancing. Spencer is also experienced in mortgage enforcement proceeding and routinely acts for and advises lenders on the power of sale process. Spencer’s real estate practice also includes leasing matters such as the preparation of lease agreements, lease extensions, and lease amendments as well as enforcement proceeding including distress and termination.

Spencer completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Guelph majoring in criminal justice and public policy prior to completing a juris doctor degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2023. Spencer joined the firm as an articling student and returned as an associate after being called to the bar in 2024. In his free time, Spencer enjoys spending time with his friends and family and is an avid Toronto Sports fan.
