Matthew Sidsworth is an Associate at Himelfarb Proszanski and a member of the wills & estates, real estate and corporate commercial law teams at the firm.

Matthew’s professional and sensible approach enables him to assist in all aspects of our client’s estate matters, including with preparing: Wills (both primary and secondary), Powers of Attorney for Property and for Personal Care, Testamentary Trusts, Probate Applications and related estate administration matters, and estate related title transfers (such as Survivorship Applications).

As well, Matthew is knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of real estate law, including purchases, sales, transfers of title and financing. Matthew frequently drafts and advises clients on real property related agreements, such as Co-Ownership Agreements and both Residential and Commercial Leases. He also regularly assists in Incorporations for clients in both for-profit and not-for-profit sectors.

Matthew obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in History from Trent University, then subsequently earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Windsor in 2019. Prior to joining the firm, Matthew articled and then worked as an associate for a boutique firm in the Durham area. Matthew was called to the Ontario Bar in 2020.

Matthew is an avid soccer fan. In his spare time he can be found coaching, playing or watching soccer and he is also heavily involved as a volunteer for his local community soccer club, Whitby FC.
