About Payam

Payam is a member of the firm’s commercial litigation group. He is an experienced litigator, and has practiced in a broad range of areas, including commercial litigation, insurance litigation, real estate litigation, estate litigation, and family law litigation.

Payam takes a pragmatic and nuanced approach to litigation, with a focus on cost-effective and client-centered solutions. Payam has represented clients before all levels of Court in Ontario.

Payam attended law school at Western University. While in law school, he volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, worked at the Western Business Law Clinic, and was an editor with the Canadian Journal of Law and Jurisprudence. In his final year, Payam was awarded the WeirFoulds LLP Writing Prize, and the Alex Kennedy Memorial Scholarship in Insurance Law. Prior to attending law school, Payam obtained an MA and PhD in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Toronto.

Payam was called to the Ontario bar in 2014.
